When I first started working from home, I was very, very adamant about having a schedule for work and I would schedule everything around my daughter’s naptime or around her other activities. And what would happen is she would not nap one day and I would have a really difficult time because I think I’d get very anxious and think that I need to get this done. And it would throw the rest of the day off.

So what I’ve learned over the last couple of years is that you have to be flexible when you’re working from home. A schedule is important in any business because you need to know who you have to call, what you have to do and what your deadlines are. But you also have to be flexible enough to understand that sometimes you’re going to have to change your plans.
