Hire and Delegate

As a business owner or manager, you can help your small business succeed by hiring the right people, training them well, and learning how to delegate responsibility wisely. Tell your delegates why they were chosen and give them encouragement. Clarify objectives and decide on deadlines, but then step out of the way and let them get to work without being micromanaged. If you must point out problems or challenges, ask employees for their ideas about possible solutions. And don’t forget to praise or reward employees who do a good job in helping you run the business.
