Manage

You may be a good businessperson. But are you a good manager? Here are a few things you can do to enhance your management efforts. Don't keep employees in the dark about matters that shouldn't be considered company secrets. By communicating with employees, and letting them in on the ongoing operational challenges, you can make them part of the company's effort to succeed. Ask for their suggestions. And let them know you value their contributions. Don't focus your feedback only on struggling employees and leave those who are meeting or exceeding expectations to guess as to whether they’re doing a good job. You also want to show your employees that you trust them by giving them responsibility and not micromanaging their work.
