Risk
When you open a small business, you're responsible for protecting your employees, customers, property, information, and the environment. In other words, you become a manager of business risk. A good risk manager works with a strong, comprehensive program to prevent, when possible, all types of problems that can lead to financial loss and liabilities. If you want to create a successful risk management program, start by analyzing your operation for potential weaknesses. Being a good risk manager means having a recovery strategy for disasters, and making sure your program includes a way to quickly respond to a problem and continue doing business.
