How Can I Increase My Customers' Impulse Buys?

Strategically offering a variety of impulse items in your store can be a good way of increasing overall sales. Good impulse items include those which are connected to other items you sell (think batteries in a toy store or light bulbs in a lighting store). Try to choose items that don't include lengthy descriptions or that force patrons to select between a range of models. And remember: Low-cost items tend to be particularly effective, as do those that rank high on the "cute" meter, such as stuffed animals, novelty pens, and miniature books.
